I am only commenting on this subject because my name has shown up on the thread several times. I have been involved with BTH for almost 20 years. I started out as a sponsor for Illinois Beat the Heat by donating vehicles, material, parts and most of all time. I was involved with the program at the tracks, shows and at school presentations. In my time involved with the program I have probably been in front of over a half million kids. IBTH was at Martin, MI for a high school race 10-12 years ago when I came in contact with Mac Sibley who at the time was pres. of BTH. At the end of the event he asked me what my story was. We talked for about 2 hours. At the end of our talk he told me that I needed to be a member. I did not pursue membership or ask for it, it was offered to me and I was and am proud to be a member. I have very strong feelings for the BTH messages and believe in them strongly. If me being a member is going to cause problems, please let me know. I am not upset or offended, I would continue with my involvement with the program if allowed. Thanks for hearing my story.
